What Goes Into a SOVON Bar?
At SOVON SOAPS, ingredients are chosen with purpose. Our handcrafted soaps combine thoughtfully selected oils, butters, botanicals, milks, clays, and other ingredients to create bars that are as enjoyable to use as they are beautiful to see.
Because every SOVON creation is different, not every ingredient listed below is used in every product. Please refer to the individual product description or product label for the complete ingredients in a specific SOVON product.
Oils & Butters
Depending on the recipe, our handcrafted soaps may include:
Olive Oil — A staple in handcrafted soap, valued for creating a mild, conditioning bar.
Coconut Oil — Helps create a firm bar with a rich, cleansing lather.
Palm Oil — Contributes hardness, longevity, and a creamy, stable lather.
Canola Oil — Adds conditioning qualities and helps create a balanced bar.
Castor Oil — Used in smaller amounts to help support a rich, bubbly lather.
Shea Butter — A luxurious butter that contributes to the creamy, conditioning feel of our soaps.
Mango Butter — A rich plant butter used in select recipes for its conditioning qualities.
Cocoa Butter — Used in select products to add richness and firmness.
Beef Tallow — Featured in select SOVON recipes to create a hard, long-lasting bar with a creamy lather.
Milks, Honey & Other Special Additions
Some SOVON soaps are made with ingredients such as:
Goat Milk — Used to create a creamy, luxurious soap.
Coconut Milk — Adds another layer of creaminess to select recipes.
Honey — A favorite addition in several SOVON creations and helps contribute to a beautiful lather.
Oats & Oat Silk — Used in select bars for their soft, silky feel.
Botanicals, Clays & Natural-Inspired Additions
Depending on the collection, you may find ingredients such as turmeric, carrot, activated charcoal, aloe vera, basil, coffee, butterfly pea, herbs, botanical powders, and clays incorporated into our handcrafted soaps.
These ingredients also help give individual SOVON bars their distinctive appearance and character.
Essential Oils & Fragrance Oils
SOVON offers both essential-oil and fragrance-oil creations.
Some bars are scented with essential oils, including favorites such as peppermint, lavender, bergamot, cedarwood, and sweet orange.
Other creations use skin-safe fragrance oils to offer scent experiences that cannot always be achieved using essential oils alone.
This is why we proudly describe SOVON as natural-inspired rather than claiming that every product is 100% natural.
Color & Creative Design
Some SOVON soaps receive their color from ingredients such as botanicals, clays, turmeric, charcoal, or other naturally derived materials.
Other designs may use cosmetic colorants, including micas and titanium dioxide, to achieve particular colors and seasonal designs.

We want you to know what you're purchasing and using. Since SOVON recipes vary from product to product, always check the individual product listing and label for its complete ingredient information—especially if you have known allergies or ingredient sensitivities.
Every SOVON bar has its own personality, but they all begin in the same place: our Soap Studio, with ingredients selected intentionally and products handcrafted with care.
